Today, I connected to the origin of the universe. Many people call this God; others have named it The Almighty. Quite a few refer to it as the Higher Power. For the sake of neutrality, I will refer to this essence of life as The One.
My mode of connecting to the One is deep meditation. I have practised many techniques during the course of my life. These have been instrumental in helping me synchronise my thoughts and feelings with nature. But, there are other ways to achieve a deep spiritual connection.
An author may forge a connection by writing about her pain; a musician by composing a piece that celebrates a glorious event; a social worker by feeding hungry children; a mother by teaching her child to swim. There are infinite ways to achieve this cosmic connection and to reach a state of Oneness. The only common requirements for completing these journeys are an open, non-judgemental mentality and one’s devotion to a figure (person, object, intangible etc.) of belief.
Through the power of this Onesome connection, it’s possible to banish all our pre-conceived judgements and become completely neutral. In this state, I feel attached to everything and everyone; but detached at the same time. I remain in the role of a passionate witness throughout my meditative journey. Every moment comes alive and I feel deeply satisfied at every instant. Throughout the day and the next, I radiate my positive energy to others – bringing smiles to their faces and comfort in their hearts.
Whether you believe in a higher power or not, one fact is indisputable. There exists a force that runs through all beings—shaping and evolving them over time. This is the One. It does not judge right or wrong; good or bad. It simply lets us do our own thing and allows matters to follow their natural course. We can connect to the One through celebration. We can even connect through pain. The point is that when we are connected to this force through the power of our belief, we feel satisfied and emit positivity to the word. If we aren’t, then we feel dissatisfied and transmit our negativity onto others.
